McDonald's Restaurants Ltd, based in East Finchley, London has applied through their planning agent, Planware Limited from Sudbury, for a refurbishment to the restaurant in Pomphlett Road, Plymstock (PL9 7BH).
The site, which spreads across 1700 square metres (or 18298.65 square feet), is owned by Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC, based in Bradford.
The application outilines the new proposed play area, modifications to the parking arrangements and refurbishments to the general design of the restaurant. There will be one less parking space, some of the replaced cladding will change colour from the well-known khaki to grey and there will be an overhead canopy to protect the Customer Order Displays.
The actual text of the proposed changes read "Refurbishment of the restaurant to include the minor reconfiguration of the car park and associated works to the site. Alterations to elevations to include theconstruction of extensions totalling 18 sqm and the back of house freezer/chiller extended with new flat roof over. New sections of shopfront to match existingand new automated sliding entrance doors. The relocation of the patio area with new furniture and the introduction of a child's play frame. The refurbishmentof the existing Customer Order Displays (COD) with overhead Canopy. The construction of a new cage store at the entrance of the site finished with Trespa cladding. The installation of new signage.
