Supercar charity event coming back to Plymouth

Local people who have lost loved ones to cancer, and also own supercars, have come together to organize this lovely event for everyone to enjoy. Wether you love cars, or just want to show your support, this event is for you.

Last year we were graced by a fleet of Porsches of various ages, a Bentley Continental GT, an Aston Martin DB11, a Mercedes AMG-GT S coupe, a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 and others. They looked stunning in the sunshine, while parked up on the Hoe seafront.

This will be the third year the event will happen, with the help of Bowel Cancer West, a charity that is trying to draw attention to the disease during Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Bowel cancer is the second biggest cause of death through cancer in the UK, often because people either aren’t aware of the symptoms, will ignore them or are too shy to seek medical atention. Every year, in the UK, around 42.000 men and women are diagnosed with bowel cancer.

The supercar event will visit some of the Westcountry hospitals involved in treating bowel cancer, meeting patients and staff, as well as local businesses and members of the public.

This is where you could see the supercars:

-Thursday 25th April: The tour will visit Cardiff University from 3-5pm where the drivers will hear about the genetics research that’s being funded by Bowel Cancer West.

-Friday 26th : The Tour will begin its cross-county drive, stopping at the Haynes International Motor Museum near Yeovil from 11am- 12.45pm.

-At 2.30pm they will arrive at Royal Devon and Cornwall Hospital (Exeter) to meet with Hospitals staff, patients and families affected by bowel cancer as well as explore the research facilities where BCW funded projects are taking place.

-Saturday 27th April The Motor Muster at Newton Abbot Racecourse from 12:00-3.00pm. A large gathering of exciting vehicles from across the south west and motor themed activity with local food and drink on site with fun for all the family.

-Sunday 28th April The Plymouth Motor Muster on the Plymouth Hoe from 12:00-3:00pm. Another large gathering of exciting vehicles from across the south west and motor themed activity with local food and drink on site with fun for all the family.
